Loot Gronkowski reports his retirement from the NFL at 29Rob Gronkowski, the endearingly carefree and perpetually gainful tight end who pushed the New England Patriots to three Super Bowl titles and wound up one of the best players ever at his position, left football Sunday, declaring his retirement at age 29.

"Everything began at 20 years of age in front of an audience at the NFL draft when my fantasy worked out, and now here I am going to turn 30 out of a couple of months with a choice I feel is an incredible greatest up until this point," Gronkowski composed on Instagram. "I will resign from the sport of football today."

Gronkowski managed wounds all through his profession, and his choice was not an astonishment. He had openly considered retirement last offseason before returning, and he said following the Patriots' Super Bowl triumph over the Los Angeles Rams in February that he again would examine his football future in resulting weeks.
